In this article, we will introduce the most essential components of Octoparse AI platform so you can get started quickly.

First, make sure you've signed up for an Octoparse AI account. It's free to start! If you've previously used our web scraping tool, you can log in directly with your existing Octoparse credentials—they're the same!

Before you get started

✅ What You’ll Need:

  • A Windows computer (Windows 7 or later): Octoparse AI is currently available exclusively for Windows. Support for macOS and other systems isn't available yet, but stay tuned for updates!

  • Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge: Recommended for web automation as we need to install a browser extension to identify, select, and automate actions (like clicking buttons, filling forms, or extracting data) within a browser.

Install the Octoparse AI Main Client

The Octoparse AI platform consists of three main components:

  1. Website: Primarily for managing your accounts and teams (Octoparse AI isn't web-based).

  2. Execution Bot 🤖: A lightweight runner designed solely to execute workflows.

  3. Main Client: The core application for creating and managing automation workflows.

In this article, we'll focus primarily on the Octoparse AI Main Client as it is where you'll build, run, and manage all your automation workflows.

Download the Octoparse AI client and install it on your Windows computer.

✅ Once installed, you're ready to start creating automations on your desktop.
