Why the "Offboarding" Process Matters
When a team member or collaborator leaves your organization, simply deleting their account could lead to a loss of valuable automated workflows. Octoparse AI ensures a smooth transition by requiring a Resource Transfer before any member is removed.
How to Remove a Member
The removal process is managed within the Organization Console:
Navigate to the [People] tab.
Locate the member or collaborator and click [Details] to verify their ID and contact info.
Click [Remove].
The "Resource Receiver" Logic (The Safety Net)
Upon clicking Remove, the system will prompt you to Designate a Resource Receiver.
What happens: All apps created by the departing member within the Organization Profile will be automatically transferred to the person you designate.
Why this is mandatory: This prevents "orphan apps" and ensures that the company retains full control over the workflows the member was building or managing.
Important Note: This transfer only applies to apps in the Organization Profile. Any apps the member created in their Personal Profile remain private and will not be transferred.
What Happens to the Deleted Member?
Access Revoked: The user will immediately lose access to the Organization space, the shared App list, and any Enterprise-level features.
Collaboration Clean-up: Their name will be removed from the "Collaborators" list of any apps they were previously invited to.
Personal Profile remains: Their personal account and private data remain intact, as these are independent of your organization.
Best Practices for Offboarding
Audit before removal: Check the [Bot Run History] to see if the member has any active scheduled tasks that need a new supervisor.
Assign to an Admin: We recommend designating an Admin or the Organization Owner as the default Resource Receiver to ensure central management of the transferred assets.
