Delete Redundant Rows Based on Keywords

Overview

This app allows users to upload an Excel file and specify keywords they want to include and exclude. It automatically filters the data, retaining only the rows that contain at least one of the desired keywords while removing any rows that include unwanted keywords. Notably, unwanted keywords take precedence; if a row contains both a desired and an unwanted keyword, it will be deleted. This intuitive filtering process helps streamline your data management, ensuring you work with only the most relevant information.

How to Use

1. Download the app from Octoparse AI app store.

2. Launch the app in your list.

   

   1. Parameter Description

      

      1. KeywordsToRetain: Enter keywords to retain rows, one keyword per line.

      2. KeywordsToDelete: Enter keywords to delete rows, one keyword per line.

      3. ColumnToFilter: Enter the column number to filter the data.

      4. ExcelFilePath: Select or enter the absolute file path of the Excel file to be filtered.

   2. Click "Run application"

3. Output

   The application will filter the rows according to the specified keywords and save the results to the original sheet, overwriting the previous data.

   

Notes

• Do not use the mouse or keyboard while the app is running to avoid interruptions.

• By default, the data to be filtered is from the first sheet, which should include a header with data starting from the second row.

• Please ensure you back up your data before running the app, since the filtered results will overwrite the original sheet.

• All parameters except for KeywordsToRetain and KeywordsToDelete are required.
